| Mode Of Action | Inhibiting the synthesis of thyroid hormone within the thyroid gland by serving as substrates for thyroid peroxidase. Thyroid peroxidase catalyzes the integration of oxidized iodide into tyrosine residues in thyroglobulin molecules and couples iodotyrosines. |

| Precautions | Pregnancy and lactation; liver disorders; patients to report any sign of infection especially sore throat; incase of an infection a white blood cell count should be done. |
